For more than 25 years, NAIC has been organizing to improve the lives of families in Northern Arizona, with members in Flagstaff, Sedona, and Prescott.
In 2000, a sponsoring committee hired our first part-time organizer. NAIC began working immediately on the issues that had been identified in stories coming from hundreds of one-on-one relational meetings and house meetings within our institutions: immigration, affordable housing, and public transit. Since then, NAIC has continued to promote systemic change in these areas as well as issues related to education, climate action, disaster relief, and healthcare.
As an affiliate of the West/Southwest Industrial Areas Foundation (SWIAF), part of the national Industrial Areas Foundation, NAIC is part of a network of broad-based organizations building power to revitalize our democracy for constructive social and economic change. In Arizona, we work closely with our fellow SWIAF organizations: Valley Interfaith Project and Pima County Interfaith Council.
